In 1997 LACSA was purchased by Grupo TACA which was initially a Central American airline alliance which also included Aviateca (Guatemala), NICA (Nicaragua) and TACA (El Salvador). all the aircraft remained with it's original livery until 1998 when all 4 airlines changed to a unique livery with Grupo TACA colors.

By mid-2000s Grupo TACA merged all airlines in a unique airline this time called TACA, thought LACSA still had it's own name painted on aircraft.
