Delta is an American airline company that has merged with North West Airlines. It is partners with Comair and it's airlink company is Delta Connection.

History

It was created by Collett.E.Woolman and B.R.Coad to dust crops from air. The name Delta was suggested by Catherine Fitzgerald, who was a secretary but would later rise to become an executive in the company, as a reference to the Mississippi delta which the company would serve. It was so successful that they turned it into a passenger airline, so they would earn more money, with passenger services starting on 17 June 1929.[1]

John Listhgrove was a funder and used to own USACA (United States of America and Canada Airways), which had close links with Delta. It consisted of a fleet of 4 737-800's and 5 Airbus A319's. John was betrayed by Delta by them telling the court that they had taken money from them. John was forced to pay $200,000 and his company was bankrupted. He later made Air Canada and is now interfering with their economic fractures. It is forecasted that Delta will shut down by 2015 by merging with Air Canada and once again forming USACA.
