Christopher Orlebar continues to take a great interest in aeronautics. He has been chairman of Weybridge Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society for over seven years. His book The Concorde Story now appearing in its seventh edition has sold in excess of 120,000 copies. One of his greatest interests is in the development of the pre-cooled engine being designed by Reaction Engines at Culham near Oxford. Such an engine would propel a vehicle single stage into Low Earth Orbit. One of his hobbies is to make videos of aeronautical occasions.
